This is awesome! I am the proud owner of 09 Lancer GTS, I am looking to boost performance and still keep her as a daily driver. Would love some feedback on the Automatic CVT model. Looking at a small turbo to increase whp to about 230-250, new manifold and exhaust.
I own a 2010 lancer es and while it is a lancer im concerned with adding power because of the cvt drivetrain. I have ben doing as much research as i can on the drivetrain because to me it seems like when you “nail it ” it stays redlined now i have done this from 0-70 and always let off of it because it seems like it is to much punishment for the loud underpowerd 2.0 . my quest and question is what will happen if i add turbo and can i add turbo ? what i mean when i say what will happen is will there be a dramatic speed increase 0-60 . I feel as though the car is slow because of the cvt im not sure because i never even knew what a cvt was or they even exsisted . for anyone wondereing my wife went to the dealer while i was at work and traded our 2007 buick lacrosse cxl in for this lancer es not the gts, oz, or evo the es and for the power it has i would rather have my buick back it is really deprassing when i drive this car because i love cars they are my passion now im learning to be a tuner or import lover but i need a reason other then good fuel mileage ..thank you for your time and please give me some advice on bolt on’s or internal work.
hey man im not sure about all teh cvt stuff you sid i just read your comment and figured i’d throw in my piece about your base lancer having the same hp as my 99 sunfire, my advice is just trade it for a gts, not much more hp but they are alot more snappy and the turbo kicks ass for the gts
As far as that cvt comment, yours may be the base lancer but its still the same 4b11 that they put in the 2008 gts model. rrm makes a turbo kit for the cvt so that means it can handle the power and that it comes with some of the equipment for tuning and engine management for a turbo. Besides its not like your going to boost 20psi with the kit.

Hey everyone I am new 2 this but I have 2010 lancer gts with a cvt . But my question to all of you is do any of you have problems with your lancer pulling to left or to the right?
I have stock tires and wheels been to the dealer many times with no resolve is there anything else I can do to fix this problem ?? Please let me know if you know any thing about this . P.S. love what you have done to the lancer, but I all ways like my cars to look like a sleeper just to surprise other drivers out there ( not street racing)…
YES! I have a 2010 Lancer GTS with a 5-speed manual and when I drive on the freeway, it sometimes pulls to the left and sometimes it doesn’t. I went to the Mitsubishi dealer twice to check it but they said that everything was fine.
Go to a good alignment guy, looks like tire pressures. What type & size of tire you have on?
The dealer has checked the alignment and said that everything is in order and for the tire pressure, I have them all pumped to 35 psi like the manual says. I have the 18 inch GTS rims
RRM, do you know if the CVT 2.4L can fit a CAI rather than a SRI? Also, would your team mind writting a mini article on how you would recommend the stages or step-by-step upgrades for GTS owners, especially for your East Coast fans. For example, from my understanding, you shouldn’t just drop a turbo directly into a stock car, without considering other mods first.
i love the new tail lights for the 08 lancer.. i jus got mine and went to put them in and the hookups where completely different for whats in the car.. aaahhhhh.. is there anywhere to find a wireing diagrem of how to put them in.. please help RRM, love u. keep the lancers lookin sexy

I have a question, I have a 2010 Lancer sportback GTS 2.4L and I want to put the RRM short ram intake in it, but i was wondering if its illegal in california? If it is, what legal one do you recommend?
Also I really like the LED tail lights that you have for the sedan, have you made those for the 2010 Sportback, or for the 2010 Ralliart sportback? If so i would love to purchase some of the black ones!

i own a 2010 2.4l lancer gts, in doing research in forums I’ve read that you sell a cvt version of the turbo kit. Yet i cant seem to find it on your website other forums say you can use this same kit for manual or cvt. So i just want to get things straight, do you guys sell a turbo kit for the cvt or not?

Hi, I have a 2009 Lancer GTS I’m in the process of modifying. I have a lot of parts already but I cannot find a turbo manifold to work the turbo. It is a T3/T4 hybrid and the engine is the stock 2.4L. Any help as to where I can look or about how much it would cost from you would be great. Thanks for your help!

Looking over other people’s comments. A lot of people own the CVT model (like myself) and are all looking for the turbo kit for it. Personally I was considering boosting, but I was also concerned about the transmission. The tranny is the weakest link here because the torque converter cannot probably handle too much power. Though I have seen boosted automatics running 15psi, however I’m not certain what the transmission was beefed up with. With the 4B11, I’ll look around, but I think that if there isn’t a kit yet, then the kit can probably do up 8-9 psi, maybe 10psi at most. Running a 50 trim turbo probably.
I own a JDM 08 Galant Fortis and have it in CVT. I think it would be fun to build up the car but everyone keeps discouraging me saying I should just sell it and get an EVO X or the Ralliart version.
Here is the issue though. I live on a small island in the Caribbean where import taxes are 100%….bringing parts and vehicles is hella expensive much less for tuning after…so my only choice short of winning the lottery is to read all these comments and hope sometime in ten years I will be done.
I hope everyone has fun building and tuning their cars and maybe one day I will be able to share what I have done….
